SILENT VIGIL - East Capital

Please join Women in Black on the East Capital as we stand silently for peace in Europe every Wednesday beginning May 26th, 1999 from 5pm to 7pm.

Area Concerned Quakers invite you to join in a weekly SILENT VIGIL to halt the hostilities in Yugoslavia and to remind Congress of the historic futility of attempting to resolve conflicts with violence.

  • When: Weekly each Wednesday from 5-7 pm
  • Where: East Capitol center steps opposite the Library of Congress
  • How: Silently, with peace-oriented signs
  • Who: Anyone who can maintain a posture of silence and nonviolence
