Two days after talks and a handshake between Serbian president Slobodan Milosevic and Macedonian president Kiro Gligorov, Kiro Gligorov was a victim of a car bomb planted by Macedonian extremists in Skopje. He lost one eye to the blast, but he is well now.

Meanwhile, more people remembered Macedonia from the movie Before the Rain by Milco Manchevski.
