RACCOON, Inc. (Reconciliation and Culture Cooperative Network) is seeking a dynamic motivated individual to serve as Development Organizer for an innovative reconciliation and cultural program in New York City.
Primary responsabilities inculde working to build resources for a network of individuals and organizations dedicated to communal healing and self-reliance amongst people from the Wester Balkans.

  • Coordinate large and small events like house parties, annual and outreach events.
  • Organizing direct mail production and distrubutions with staff and volonteers.
  • Coordinate communications with stakeholders through newsletter, listserv, web site and e-list
  • Writing organizational annual report and ongoing program reports in a timely manner Identifying potential professional development opportunities and funding sources
  • Work collaboratively with program team to create and implement joint activities and community projects to reach out to various Balkan expatriate communities
  • Collaborate with program staff to support ongoing activities, writing, women's workshops, and other events.
  • Network and mobilize around education, public health and cultural issues
  • Assist ethnic organizations and communtiy leaders with development of organizing literature
